UNESCO Rebrand

The call of this project was to revive the UNESCO brand. UNESCO is a non-government, non-profit agency. The United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization is dedicated to world peace and security through its three tenets. 

My design strategy was to incorporate an approachable color palette to represent its tenets, alongside friendly, yet mature typography, poignant photography, and a classic book layout for each of the four brand guides. It was vital that all four books function cohesively on their own and as part of a complete visual system, while also being flexible across various mediums.

The UNESCO logo was inspired by the history of the organization: the seed of life in action; the ebb and flow of cycles; the enveloping of diversity; the only constant being change; and the scale from which change occurs: through multiple and repetitive iterations.
